Artist Vu Dieu Thao
The next inspirational person I would like to mention is a Ty Ba Artist-Teacher in Hanoi: Ms. Vu Dieu Thao.
More than 20 years ago, Ms. Vu Dieu Thao was loved by the audience for her role as Thao, a 12th grade girl who lost her bicycle in the movie “Ahead is the sky”. The role made the audience remember her face, remember her name and appreciate her acting, but Dieu Thao did not follow the path of a professional actress but continued to stick with music, becoming a teacher to teach Ty Ba.
Artist Vu Dieu Thao said that since childhood she dreamed of becoming a teacher. When she was in school, she was encouraged and supported by many teachers. “My teachers are also an example and a great motivation to nurture my dream. From a young age, I thought that growing up, I would try to be good at my specialty, nurture my passion to become a teacher. Then that dream also came true when I graduated and kept the teaching school, officially becoming a teacher of Ty Ba at the Vietnam National Academy of Music” – Vu Dieu Thao share.
Two decades as a teacher, what makes Vu Dieu Thao the happiest is watching generations of students gradually grow up, mature and succeed. She expressed: “Generation after generation, students are like their own reflection. Seeing them appear on big stages, bringing the sound of the Ty Ba to all parts of the country, going abroad, seeing that my career of “growing people” really has a sweet fruit, that’s my happiness.”.
